What Email Marketing is all about
We've got lots to share with you about how email marketing has helped our clients integrate their social media and digital marketing efforts together, increasing their digital marketing return on advertising spend (ROAS) and their marketing ROI.
The role of Email Marketing in Digital Marketing
Email Marketing integrates both our social media and digital marketing efforts together. It helps businesses improve their marketing ROI and their ROAS.

Let's watch this video to learn how and why email marketing is essential in converting website traffic, converting social media followers to customers as well as lead generation with social media advertising, we've an animation video to explain this.
Now that we understand more about "The role of Email Marketing in our Digital Marketing efforts" such as SEO marketing and Social Media advertising, what we need to understand next is "How Email Marketing benefits a business" and "The common mistakes with Email Marketing" which we will share in our 50 min webinar video below.
There are 4 key topics and questions we need to address for those who are still wondering what Email Marketing is and why they need Email Marketing for their business.
1) How is email marketing helpful in Digital Marketing?
2) How does email marketing help a business
3) Is email marketing effective?
4) Email Marketing vs Social Media Marketing
Let's explore the top 2 reasons we think "Email marketing is helpful in Digital Marketing?"
Reason 1: Email Marketing helps you to re-connect with your most engaged social media users, and website traffic audience (when done right, aka not spamming).
Reason 2: Email Marketing is technically FREE, you own the email database collected overtime. Most people do not have an email marketing strategy and people tend to unsubscribe overtime to over promotional emails.
That said, you will need an email marketing content strategy, good graphics, enticing offer and attractive copywriting to nail this.
Many email marketing statistics report that Email Marketing provides the highest ROI, up to 3800%! That's $38 for every $1 spent.
The next question to tackle is "How does email marketing help a business?", I will share my top 3 reasons for this question (though there are many more reasons on how email marketing is helpful).
Reason 1: Email marketing helps you understand the products and services your customers are interested in.
When we share helpful tips to digital marketing, or our new YouTube video that we think our email subscribers should watch via email, we will always feature at least 4-6 digital marketing courses we offer (that have upcoming schedules) - you might be surprised, but year on year there are difference in preference, Facebook Advertising Workshop was most clicked at one point, and it became Instagram Marketing and Advertising Workshop from 2018 till present.
Reason 2: Email marketing helps you keep your customers updated of "What's New", "What's Change", and we've seen some case studies of businesses asking customers for referrals via email marketing.
Reason 3: You can segment your customers and send them relevant targeted emails, offers.
I may have customers who have signed up for my Instagram Marketing Workshop, if possible, I should talk about "How they can improve their Instagram Marketing and Advertising ROI", or "How email marketing compliments their Instagram Marketing and Advertising efforts"

Question 3) Is email marketing effective?
Well, imagine this scenario. I am doing a research about renovation for my home, and when I landed on the company's website with very helpful blog posts and portfolios, they asked me via a website pop-up if I would like a "Checklist on Common Renovation Mistakes to avoid" in my inbox, I would definitely subscribe - don't you think?
As a renovation company, I would have a 4 part email series automated once a subscriber subscribed. Here's what my email marketing content strategy will look like:
1st email triggered 2-4 hours later: Was the checklist helpful? + Links to our YouTube video guides on "Renovation Styles" and "Renovation Tips".
2nd email trigger 3 days later: Let us know if we can help with your renovation! + Button to link to a simple form to arrange for a call back with renovation requirements, budgets and enquiry.
3rd email trigger 7 days later (depending if they open/filled up 2nd email that was triggered): Renovation Portfolios based on budgets and housing types, Customer Testimonials, Link to make an appointment
4th email trigger 14 days later (depends if they have responded to previous email):

Last but not least, Question 4) Email Marketing vs Social Media Marketing
One thing to remember when growing your Social Media followers is that even if you have 10,000 followers today, any post you schedule to your social media will only be seen by a small percentage (10%-20% for Facebook, Instagram and TikTok platforms), slightly higher for LinkedIn.
While for Email Marketing, you know who open and clicked on your emails. Some may have opened but not clicked, and you definitely want to send an email follow up or phone call follow up if they have clicked on a CTA in your email marketing campaign.

b) They have a website with moderate traffic and high enquiry rates
c) They have a website with high traffic and low enquiry rates
d) They have a website with high traffic and high enquiry rates
We will be blogging about this really soon on "SEO Tips for greater traffic" and "How to convert website traffic into Email Subscribers".
